The Information Technology Department at Royal Hospital organized a ceremony on 15th March 2010 to honor the IT staff. The function was held under the auspices of Dr. Ghazi bin Omar Al-Zubaidi Director General of the Hospital in the Recreation Center.
The ceremony began with a reading from the Holy Quran by Mr. Ibrahim Saif. Mr. Abdullah bin Hamood Al Raqadi, Director of Information Technology welcomed the gathering and commended the Computer and Medical Records staff on their sincere efforts towards promoting the highest levels work efficiency. He appreciated the immense contribution by staff and said that this function was being held to recognize their hard work and dedication, and also as an incentive to encourage and motivate them. He was appreciative of their productivity and quality of service and announced that 15th March every year would be celebrated as IT day in the Hospital to take note of the achievements of the past year and reward outstanding staff.
Mr. Tahir Al Omairi then rendered a peom in honour of Staff. This was followed by an excellent film prepared by Mr. Talal Al Jardani depicting various developments in the computerization history of the Royal Hospital.
Dr. Ghazi Al Zubaidi distributed the mementos and certificates to staff, including to the Director General of IT, Administrative and Clinical Directors, senior officers, staff of the DGIT, computer staff, MRD staff and Medical Coordinators.
The IT department has introduced monthly awards for the best employees of the month to motivate the staff and encourage them to function to the best of their ability.
The function ended with a sumptuous dinner.
