H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health inaugurated the Muscat First International Hepatology Conference held on 12-13 January 2011 at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel. This update was meant for physicians and surgeons pursing higher medical training to familiarize them with the current developments in the field of Hepatology and liver diseases. Eminent international experts from the US, UK, Germany, India and other GCC countries were invited to speak on the occasion. An endoscopy workshop with live cases relayed to gastroenterologists, surgeons, residents and nurses was also organized at the Royal Hospital Auditorium on 11th January 2011.
